You can't teach an old dog new tricks.
What does that mean?
It means an old dog (same applies to humans) cannot sprout new dendrites and axons and produce new neural connections like a young one can.
What causes the decline in the ability to sprout new neural connections? We know why and how to fix it. It is not a secret, but if you ask your Doctor chances are he can't even tell you the process of constructing a new dendrite and what materials are required. This guy is supposed to be your body mechanic?
